I’ve already expressed my love for airbnb, so it should come as no surprise that I’m excited about a new startup that presented today Disrupt NY called EatWith. EatWith gives you the opportunity to eat with a local in their home, giving you the opportunity to connect with local people and enjoy a home cooked meal (much better than my go-to pasta with tomato sauce made with questionable hostel dishes!). Can’t wait to try this!

A Brazilian friend I met backpacking in Australia posted this on FB yesterday and I absolutely fell in love. I think rather than adding in the travel memorabilia like they’ve done here, I’m just going to create the city and country names out of images and find some great vintage frames. All I need to do now is figure out which cities I’m going to feature…

Juvet Hotel – this is what I imagine peace to look like. Set in the Norwegian wilderness, this luxury hotel is definitely on my must-see list!
I can’t remember where I found this, but I’ve had it saved on my desktop for a few months now and keep peeking at it when I’m feeling particularly wanderlusty.
Paris is the city of lights and of love, but I’m going to give it one more title – the city of detail. Ornate detail finds its way into the everyday – in architecture, displays, signs and even food.
